Horseback Riding
Well-mannered horses and experienced guides allow even the beginner to enjoy Mother Nature on horseback with Triple “C” Outfitters located at Cacapon State Park. Each ride is accompanied by an experienced guide that will lead you through the bridle trails of Cacapon. Pony rides are available for those a little less experienced.
GUIDED TRAIL RIDES AND RATES
Guided Trail Rides (approximately 1 hour) through the beautiful ridge tops of Cacapon State Park – $24
Lunch Ride (approximately 3 hours) Pack a sacked lunch and join us on a ride that leads you a little deeper into the natural settings of Cacapon – $65
Overnight Fall Trip (Please call for more information.)
OTHER SPECIALITY RIDES
Moonlight Ride: Enjoy a moonlit ride under the stars.
This ride is booked only during certain moon phases. Call for availability. Minimum 6 riders.
Day Trip: Come join us for a full day of riding in the back country of Cacapon. Rides last approximately six hours and eventually climbs to the top of the rugged Cacapon Mountain. Minimum: 4 riders.
Overnight Ride: Looking for adventure? Enjoy an evening of horseback riding, dinner and an overnight camp out. Followed by breakfast and a morning ride back to the stables. Call for more information. Minimum: 8 riders.
HORSEBACK RIDING – STABLE OPERATING HOURS
April & May - open weekends. Weekday riding is available with advanced reservations.
Memorial Day - Labor Day - open daily, except Mondays.
September - November - open weekends. Weekday riding is available with advanced reservations.
Miscellaneous information
- Riders must be 10 years of age or older.
- Riders younger than 10 years of age, at the discretion of the trail guide.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- No riders under eight years of age.
- For your safety, only one rider per horse.
